Weekly inspiration!

steps in the process

Lillian got me going before coffee today, and that is really an unusual thing for me! is always a source of inspiration. Last week Lillian discussed ellipses and how they work in art. This week she took it a step further by making them into flowers -- daisies first, then petaled flowers facing different ways.

I went out in my yard and patterned some ellipses from a hibiscus plant, then came in and worked through her suggestions step by step. Go see her version, much more information!  link

Nice flowers

and thanks for telling me about Helga Flower. Mount Pleasant is about an hour and a half from me, but when I looked at the list of workshops I noticed she has one in St. Ignace (my home town), Marquette (where my favorite sister lives) and Okemos (about 20 minutes from my house). I've signed up for the Okemos one in September and may also take the one in Marquette.
